Morning Mad Oh poor you, and poor minimad
My DS fell out of his cot and broke his collare bone....he screamed and screamed poor lamb.
Glad there wasn't any breakages!

We had a fab day yesterday. Kids woke up at a respectable 7.30am! I made a delicious Roast Beef dinner. I followed a River Cottage recipe and it was YUMMY!!! Lots of it...but very tasty indeed.

Kids have been playing non stop on various toys and are all fairly contended for once!

We have a nice relaxing day today...drinks with next door later, and maybe a walk this afternoon, then we are off to visit family for a couple of days.

Bianca Big thank you to you The kids LOVED their little pressies!! How clever are you!!? Thank you, they are lovely

Right well I had better go and get dressed and monitor the kids....I have a sneaking suspision they are eating chocolate for breakfast

Awww I hope so Mad

Sounds like our house! My DD2 had a Dora laptop and already it is driving me nuts!

I was very lucky and DH bought me Wii Fit Its great!
I was dreading putting all my calculations in to find my Wii Fit age....I have heard some shocking results from other people! It wasn't too bad though, i have a wii fit age of 38 (I'm 32) but I am in the overweight band. It was really funny because it tells you how heavy you are and it adjusts your little wii mee accordingly...so it made my wii mee fat too! I was and my dh was

Very good fun though, despite the podgy wii mee

Hello

TMH sorry for your stressful night, I'm glad ds1 is OK. My ds broke his collarbone in the summer (and was told it wasn't broken), the pain was awful Hope he doesn't stay sore for long x
Luda glad you like them, I loved making them

We had a weird day yesterday. A really great morning at home with two very excited and happy children, then to my dad and step-mums for lunch. Kids were really rude at the dinner table and refused to eat even food they have all the time at home. I was , and . It spoilt what could've been a nice time. Got home and watched Doc Who together before bed
We've all made up this morning and are having a lazy family (just the 4 of us) day. Roast is ready to go in the oven and we'll head out to one of the village pubs in about an hour for some traditional Boxing Day enertainment

Jas · 26/12/2008 12:40

OH, I'M GLAD DS IS OK TMH I HOPE YOU ALL GET AN EARLY NIGHT.

(ooops)

Luda - My Wii fit age is 47 (I am 39) but dd2s was 33 she is 8!!!
It thinks I am underweight, which the dds found very amusing.

We had a good day yesterday. DP cooked and we ate on our laps in front of the tv so I we could watch Dr Who (Not our original plan)

I'm trying to home all the new toys and do lots of washing today, while refereeing Wii arguments.

DP has taken dd2 out for a bit.

hello all8 hope you all had a fabulous christmas day tmh* poor ds he must have been very shaken and so must you and dh - I hope ds is soon feeling better and that you all manage to get some sleep tonight.

swanriver · 26/12/2008 18:10

Hope little ones are heading for bed now, and you can get a rest at last TMH.
Bianca, it is so difficult to deal with them on 'Special occasions' but at least they were happy in morning and now..
Luda Happy Christmas
We watched Dr Who too! (actually littlies refused and went off to watch Angelina on an ancient video as said it was too scarey)After Christmas at my aunt's with various lovely relations...Food all went down very well, although red cabbage assuming slightly medicinal properties as it gets older.
All the children are really quite ill, feverish coughing etc, reviving briefly and being bright and chirpy with relations (?) and then longing to go back to bed and sleep. It is a bit sad...but very very peaceful!!!At least we grownups are well, so far, and we can minister to them.
No Wii here, don't think I would ever ever work out how to operate it, finding lego instructions bad enough. DH has given me a Yamaha (cheap)keyboard for Xmas which I still haven't dared unwrap for fear of instruction manual. I am really looking forward to being able to play some music after 20 years without piano or piano substitute, and possibly being able to play along to dcs violins or least tune their violins to right note!!
Children are watching end of Prince Caspian (which I'm afraid they found rather dull and left halfway through but have returned for finale - dd liked costumes though)

Did some hoovering this morning to DH's disapproval who wanted me to be more festive and less boring.
Hope everyone's delicious biscuits and cakes are being appreciated.

Hi all,

food to hear that yesterday was good for everyone (aside from the trip to A&E MAD!!)

we had the most relaxed Christmas that I can ever remember - Yay for mind altering drugs - Why didn't I do it years ago

Pressies went down well, I got new snuggly PJ's and dressing gown from DH and an overnight in a hotel with DH from my sister.
M&D gave DH and I a voucher for our favorite butcher - which is a genius pressie.
My sis had such a good time she didn't want to go home
Haven't had the tv on so am sure I have missed things I wanted to watch but a lovely time has been had by all.

Kept up with my routines and so tomorrow isn't going to be too much of a shock to the system - Am looking forward to PiL leaving tomorrow.

a very un MN holiday Hug to everyone.

Wolfcub · 26/12/2008 18:33

do a just given me my main prezzie he's been saving it for today when we just have A quiet day with ds on our own. Lovely man got me an iPod touch. I can't put any music on it yet until the insurance company replace my laptop but I can mn yay I have been missing reading what you've all been up to each day so it'll be nice to be back. Hopefully I can fly the house back into order before I go back to work on the fifth. Need to go and make meringues shortly as friends are
Coming for dinner tomorrow

TortoiseRidesaReindeer · 26/12/2008 21:02

Hello.
We had a really good christmas day. Kids were happy with all their presents.
DS's are at their dad's today and tomorrow. Feeling a bit sad about it but nice to spend time with just DD's home. Xp gave DS's a tin of quality street for me . He knows about my gall stones too! He is a twunt!! DC will enjoy them i am sure!

Is too quiet here with DD's in bed. Feeling lonely.

TMH Poor DS. Glad nothing was broken though. Hope today has been OK and you catch up on some sleep.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 26/12/2008 22:42

Evening all

Today has been a bit pants, but I can say I am so proud of my little men.

We went to my mums for pressies and dinner, but she didnt feed us and only gave the children scrambled egg when they got desperate for food. Also she didnt allow for DS1 only having 2 hours sleep and was quite nasty to him a few times, when actually my niece was the culprit.

The boys both had a lovley time dancing at the club, although DS1 got sore as the day went on and he has maxed out on painkillers.

We are shattered but starving - so DH is cooking hotdogs and supernoodles .

Also I only got tat off my mum - a notebook and a £1 scarf. She took the outdoor speaker I had got for DH and gave it as his pressie - I just think she makes my blood boil sometimes.

Sorry I needed to vent
