well the boys are far too over excited.

We are meeting EHM at soft play this morning and I think that might be part of the issue

Ironing
Drop pressies at mums and brothers
General tidyround
Drop christmas cards round estate
crib service with DS1
Prep Turkey and work out cooking time
DH to prepare veg
PJ's out for tonight
Christmas clothes out
Drop pressies at MIL and BIL
Hoover
Mop ground floor
Do reindeer dusts and mince pie with boys
Baths
Dinner
etc

dishes in kitchen before i even attempt to make breakfast ( yes i know but i am sick) OFF TO DO NOW

OH HAVE TO ORDER OIL AT 9 AM I FORGOT YESTERDAY

quick tidy and polish of living room

route round for all the washing, and make beds etc and tidy kids bedrooms

all presents for family r wrapped and delivered thank god)

Have fun EHM and Mad

We are all already quite hyper this morning.

Our day is pretty much as follows:
Getting up and dressed and breakfasted,

Going for a walk around the village to wear kids out and visit an elderly friend,

Back home for lunch (cooking a big cooked breakfast in the vain attempt to fill DH full of food so he doesn't get wasted when he goes to the pub in the afternoon for xmas drinks with work friends..... ....stupid bloody time to go but don't get me started on that one!!)

The Christmas Elves then will visit

Then DH should be home about 4/5ish in time to go to a friends house for a glass of wine (I'll probably end up going with just the kids....unless he keeps his word and doesn't get too drunk )

Then its back home...nice bath for kids and maybe watch The Polar Express or something equally as festive. Stockings up, plate out for Santa, entice kids into new duvet covered beds (please work, please work! )

Dash about like looneys creating piles of pressies once kids finally sleep,

Pray to the heavens they sleep in past 3am this year!!!!!

And that is about that!

We are pretty excited this morning too

Dh has gone to work but hopes to be back by lunchtime. The kids and I plan to make mince pies this morning and wrap pressies for dh.

Then depending on the weather we could either head to the park for the afternoon on our bikes or stay in and watch a Christmas movie
We'll head to church at 5ish and then have friends coming for drinks at 7ish for a couple of hours (in an attempt to keep the kids up late, in the hope they sleep in in the morning ) Last year our two slept in till after 7.30 dh and I were desperate for them to wake up! (not thatI'd swop that for your 3am start Luda!)

Off to try to get the kids dressed....

Hope to do last minute tidy today and then we're fit for xmas. DH braved supermarket last night

DDs in front of Bob the Builder Christmas special, then Barbie Diamond Castle DVD is going on after. I like that one so will watch with them

Kids all wheezing and sneezing, but seem quite bouncy. Dh has been looking after them for last 2 hours, and I'm afraid I've only JUST come downstairs, not dressed or in any way focused. Dh has just put on a special tv programme
Rang Mum to warn her of germs, but she seems unconcerned. She is still trying to find (my) dh perfect present

Find a red cabbage
More ironing
Make gratin dauphinoise for 10
Make broccoli salad for 10
Sweep yard
Hoover bedroom (determined to do this today)
Stay completely cheerful and non-bickering.

All craft seems to fail in this house unless food related. Dd really is an installation artist ysteday made giant hat out of cardboard box with dangly bits, but NOTHING in any way Xmassy. Perhaps had enough at school hmm

Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely day just busy enough to be exciting, but not exhausting!! Happy Christmas Luda, Jas, Anne, TMH, Bianca, Dylsmum, Grouchy, Ed, EHM, LT, Wolfcub, Sagacious, Scatty Spice and anyone I've forgotten, including all pets and little ones.

Well my lot are really excited but the worst is dh he has hardly slept for 3 nights as he's so excited . It's normally him up first in ours on the big day usually around 4am and me telling him to go back to sleep as the kids are still asleep

Today I have...

Been to Matalan sale and bought some new clothes for the littlies
Been to pet shop for stocking fillers for the dog and hamster
Dishes done

So now I am ready to just drop off a few cards then relax and have fun with the kids

Well we have been delivering last minute xmas cards and popped in to see our old (elderly) next door neighbour. She is looking very frail she has just come out of hospital after staying in for 3 weeks. She has something wrong with her bowels.
Her DH died earlier this year and she is missing him She has a lovely carer though and her daughter visits every day.

I have come back to make a nice cooked breakfast lunch and DH has stayed out to take the kids to the park...try and wear them out a bit.

I think we'll watch tv then while DH is out for drinks.

Next year will do a perfectly orgaised christmas. (only joking have accepted the fact I am just not a neat organised person, although I'll not give up trying)
Made peppermint creams this mrning, have abandoned biscuits idea, would be too much.
Flat's not bad, luckily we're going to Mum's tomorrow.
DD is demanding food, friends are due any minute and thn hae to pack.

Hello all

Been busy making Christmas biscuits this morning: four trays with ONLY ONE BLOODY SHELF IN THE OVEN! If I shout loud enough on MN I may not shout in RL ! and the food mixer broke - what timing!

Been to Grandma and Grandad's, come home and lunched, DD is in bed - she had a disturbed night and didn't wake up til 9 am this morning.

DS is all hyper and doesn't know what to do with himself, not his usual self - this Christmas thing has a lot to answer for

afternoon all

I had a fantastic morning with EHM, her sister, Ellie and cousin. They boys were well behaved and had a great time.

We then called in to see my brother and SIL.

But my mother has put me in a really bad moos, as she had the gall to ask where her christmas card was - this is the woman who has only sent us one in the last eight years. I called round to give it to her and she was really rude to me, so we are not on speaking terms as she shut the door in my face and didnt even say good bye to the boys.

I will ring and make peace in a min. DS1 has decided he WILL NOT go to church, so DH is taking them to deliver the pressies to his mum and aunt.

Just having two minutes before starting again. Just got the kids in bed at last after calling round at a friend's house for a few drinks. Still got all the cooking to do but it will be fun. DH is making chocolate log at the mo so keeping out of the way, I'll only interfere!

Just going now to finish tidying up and clean the bathroom - which isn't so bad these Flydays!

DS1 has come back down.

I have been and seen my mother and made peace - it is the season of goodwill and all that.

I found out that I am having MIL, FIL, BIL, SIL and Neice over for tea tomorrow, not just PIL popping in after milking

So I have the ham in cooking, DH is going to cut some chips and I am going to finnish making bread rolls - argggggggggg

But Turkey is prepped, sausage meat stuffing is prepped, veg is done, potatoes are done. So we are almost there.

DH is involving DS1 with all the doing - we are hoping to tire him out. Bless him - his inhauler is making him hyper

boys went to bed well.. hoping that lasts all night
now sitting watching shrek the halls that we recorded earlier.

will probably be in bed earlier than normal.
Pil have been intraining for tomorrow morning.. setting their alarm clock 15 minutes earlier each day and they are now used to waking at 7.30-8am

Will try to stay away tomorrow..
