Cleaning Le Creuset

I have a small LC frying pan which over the years has got a bit manky on the outside and I would really like to clean it up. What product should I use as I don't want to scratch it!

Le Creuset do their own cream cleaner which smells lovely but I think you can only get it from a Le Creuset stockist. It comes in a small orange & white plastic bottle.

When I have a really dirty Le Creuset pot to clean I fill it with warm water and a denture cleaning tablet and leave it to soak overnight. Perhaps you could soak your pan in a basin with one?

I've had some success with using liquid washing detergent (the clothes one) for the inside of my Le Creuset (ceramic, not cast iron). Haven't tried it on the outside, but I can't imagine it would hurt...

And if you burn the bottom of a Le Cruset casserole dish which I do frequently, don't use bleach as it will ruin it!

Vinegar seems to work...
