Cleaning leather sofa

When we bought our leather sofa we were given some leather cleaner stuff. We've run out. What's the best stuff to use. Any nice simple and cheap ideas?

Will ordinary detergent do?

Saddle soap would be good - you can get it from shoe shops and cobblers.

In between using the proper leather cleaner, we use baby wipes on our sofa to remove grime, and they work excellently

OK. Thanks. Will try the cobblers in town.

I use either baby wipes, or the leather cleaning wipes that they sell in tesco

baby soap in warm water. this is what the shop advised and it brings it up beautifully. wash in a very solution and then wipe again with a clean damp cloth

Thankyou all.

Actually whilst searching through the cupboard under the sink I unearthed another bottle. Shows how chaotic it was

But I also have some baby soap somewhere left over from many years ago.
