oven cleaning tips?

Do any of you have sparkly clean ovens? If so, please could you give me your top cleaning tips and product recommendations?

I have an electric fan oven which I don't think has been cleaned since it was installed 5 years ago .

I have three little ones around my feet and I am a lazy slattern with no patience. Please bear this in mind when suggesting a course of action.

Many thanks.

damp with water, sprinkle v liberally w/bicarb, wait an hour or so, wipes straight off, rinse w/plenty water.

no smell, no nasty chems, easy, cheap

georgimama · 14/12/2008 19:42

Ovenu cooker valet - expensive but your oven will be like brand new.

nancy75 · 14/12/2008 19:42

pay somebody to do it for you!, honestly the oven looks like new, and then you can keep it clean by doing it regularly

apuppydaviesisforlife · 14/12/2008 19:44

for the racks i use one of those wire wool scourers and washing up liquid, admitedly that does take a bit of elbow grease but again cheap and v satisfying, seeing all the stuff you thought was black enamel is actually chrome

TheVirginGoober · 14/12/2008 19:48

Mr Muscle, brillo pads, elbow grease.

hotbot · 14/12/2008 20:45

georgimama · 14/12/2008 20:59

£35??? God I paid ninety, my oven must have been horrific (well it was horrific) or I was ripped off. Still worth it though...
