How do you get wax off inside of glass?

We have one of those large glass vases to hold a large candle from Ikea. DH blew the candle out instead of snuffing it. Now there is ugly wax splats on the glass. How do I clean it off to use this Christmas?

you can either use sticky stuff remover (about £2 from B&Q) or warm the glass and absorb the wax with some brown paper. I'm sure there are other ideas out there, but these work for me.

soak in very hot water and washing up liquid

Chip off as much as you can, then rinse out the remainder with very hot water - our tap water is hot enough but you might need to add a splash of water from the kettle if yours is not a high temp.

Pour hot water on until the wax melts, then while the glass is still hot and damp wipe it down with kitchen towel.

Or if you have a dishwasher a hottish cycle should do it.

Thank you all. I was worried about hot water as it's cheap glass. I'll try the dishwater. If it breaks it's in one place.
