How do I get smoke smell out of wellies?!

Bought some wellies from Ebay and URGH they stink of smoke I've washed them with laundry detergent in the sink, inside and out, and left them outside in the fresh air but the smell is still there. Anything else I could try?

You could try soaking them again in a bowl of warm water with a few drops of essential oil, or add a tub of bi-carb to the water.

Damn, I was sure that essential oil tip would work but it didn't - they still stink
