Have not been around past couple of days, it has been manic so just trying to catch up on the threads. Have done all the missions for the week and house looking generally pretty good so feeling pleased.

Right, to do list or I'll not move off the sofa all afternoon.

Hello all again

We are gettting through with our lazy day., DS2 is back in bed and suffering - poor mite.

Me, DH and DS1 have put up the tree and other decorations and I am feeling rather festive.

I need to get a stocking hook, as that was a casualty of an over zealous DS1.

We are off to Madagascar 2 tomorrow

wendycarolsinger · 06/12/2008 20:38

for DS2 Madhouse BWB yummy was the course at Betty's worthwhile then? Where do you live?
Grouchy thanks for thread and you've been busy!
swanriver don't burn yourself out with va va voom!
Hi Jas Ruby hope dinner goes well

I have had a fab day in Lincoln with my mum - took £100 cash and got a fiver left . But got quite a few unusual Xmas pressies and also treated me and mum to a pizza and couple of glasses of wine each, so it's not so bad. The savings are definitely paying me a SAHM wage this month

Off to bed soon, still have very bad sore throat and been dosed up with paracetamol all day. No other symptoms except gunky eye - no temp or anything, must be a virus.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 07/12/2008 08:23

Morning all

Long night again in TheMadHouse, but hey ho.

Washer is on
Breakfast is cooling
DH is having a well deserved lie in

Plans for today are to go and see Madagascar 2 at the local independant cinema

I also need to get some ironing done and prep for the week, but that is it.

DH and I were discussing last night that this parenting lark is much harder than we anticipated. Tiring and tough to say the least. We would do it all again though, its just we though it would be easier - some how

ludaslovinallthelights · 07/12/2008 09:20

Morning All

Well I have a list as long as my arm today!

I'm going in to hospital tomorrow for my sterilisation op. I'm actually very pleased it is finally here and I am looking forward to it being over and done with but I'm getting quite nervous at the thought of being put to sleep and operated on EEK!

I have loads to do today....I think if I wasn't such a control freak I'd be ok but it will drive me potty if something that needs doing doesn't get done and I won't be here to do it (IYSWIM)

I am sure my DH will be a star....he will do a fab job of organising the kids, but he tends to only be able to look after the kids and the house usually gets overlooked. (I'm not nagging honestly because I know he'll look after us all a treat....but it will set off my OCD to see the house neglected!)

Sooooo today I have to:

~Tidy kitchen
~Put bins out
~Make DD1's packed lunch
~Hoover
~Find DD1's homework and bag
~Washing
~Clean downstairs loo and upstairs bathroom
~Clean guinea pigs out
~Tidy living room
~Tidy kids room (should be easy as I gutted I only a few days ago)
~Go clean the nursery (didn't do it on Friday because DS was waaay to poorly)

Hmmmm and do supper (will do a nice filling supper as I can't eat anything at all tomorrow!)

Catch you all in a bit x

starbear · 07/12/2008 10:11

Hi all.

Hope all having a good weekend .

Yesterday I took DCs to town to see Fenwicks window (Its good this year isn't Mad?)and finished my Xmas shopping (Huge sigh of relief!). Today we had a winter walk in the park .

I could probably get to York after Xmas Id love to meet you ladies .

DD wants to go on Cbeebie website so BBL.

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 07/12/2008 17:36

Scatty Fenwicks window was one of those traditions we missed whn we lived down dsouth - I really love it.

We have been to Madagascar 2 is was great, lovley to go to our really old local independant cinema, not many left. Really cold though, as it is on the sea front

Just cooking dinner will be back later

swanriver · 07/12/2008 17:38

Didn't take ds2 for run before sunday lunch as a result he was very 'Lively' for rather dismayed guests.

All jobs done, apart from making beds and tidying.
Delicious lunch made eaten and half washed up

DS1 and DD wrote 4 Xmas cards between them

2nd Advent Sunday candle lit. DS1 read The Grinch to the little ones, and sang a beautiful Irish song. DS2 led a very riotous dance to a song from Oliver. DD cheered up a bit during this and stopped demanding sweets.

Now watching Home Alone with dad.
TO DO
Supper sausages
Piles of laundry

ludaslovinallthelights · 07/12/2008 18:22
