Special paint for kitchen?

Hi
We are going to be painting the kitchen after Christmas. We are planning to put the house on the market at easter (yes, I know that probably makes us insane!) so we are doing it up to sell [hopeful] rather than 'for us'.

On that basis, is it worth buying the special paint for kitchens? my brother works at B and Q and he reckons the heat/steam will make ordinary paint "go funny" (he was quite vague) and so we should get the special kitchen/bathroom paint.

Kitchen is curently wallpapered and peeling like mad (urgh) so it will be a start from scratch job.

Does anyone have any advice on this?

thanks

I used ordinary paint in my kitchen and it's fine.
my parents did the same and it's lasted the last 5 years with no adverse effects.

i'd go with normal paint

thanks yesterday- I thought so- i think my brother is trying to boost B & Q profits as the special stuff is twice the price!
