Morning - I will have a plumber at some point today, so I am going to get my mum to come, so I can have my hair cut and also go to the school christmas fair with DS1.

What can go wrong has gone wrong with this heating sicne we turned it back on - the controller has been replaced 3 times, 3 actuators, 2 valves and about 17 fuses. The pannel has no electric at the moment and I have pulled the fuse - as we were to hot - which is a first

I have spent 15 mins upstairs just generally tidying.
Washer is on
Kitchen is tidy and all tops wiped
Advent clock glued
Colouring and playdough done

Boys are watching something special and then I am getting mum

Greyskull Takes about an hour to scarborough - 20 mins to Whitby. Are you in the area over christmas visiting family? If so I would love to meet.

Hi all

Dear me mad I hope it gets sorted finally today!! We had an ongoing thing with our water heater...very annoying

Bad night here too...DS slept in our bed and half way through the night we were joined by DD2. DH had to evacuate to one of the empty kids beds while I slept (well actually I didn't sleep a wink!) all night inbetween two wriggly, sniffy, coughy children.

DS is still looking worse for wear and is playing on the Wii...we have had good fun racing each other on super mario karts....he's very good at it!

Right better get a wiggle on and pick DD2 up

Ruby, I sometimes think it would be easier to give them presents before Xmas/keep them occupied during mad rush of preparation. Mine love their Peppa Pig playset...
Dreading last four days of Advent when it should be the happy hearth, but turns into a terrible scrabbling. Determined not to fall into same trap this year of doing too much and feeling knackered by Xmas day. Want us to sing songs, go for nice walks, and be peaceful together.

scattyspice · 05/12/2008 12:44

Swanriver and ruby - I quite agree, same thing with me, last year I had a headache all day on Xmasday! This yr I am feeling quite calm ( calm before the storm perhaps).

Nearly broke my neck trying to get to school this morning on the ice!

To do:
laundry
watch I'm a celeb final .
take kids to fenwicks window.
finish xmas shopping
buy and write cards
ds homework
etc...

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2008 13:46

Sod it, I'd going to have a cup of tea and watch 'Doctors' for half an hour with my feet up (me time and all that)

BiancaCastafiore · 05/12/2008 13:47

They look cool Ruby, we might try some if I ever get any time with the kids when we don't have homework/Christmas show rehersals etc etc

AndaGrouchyBahHumbugtoyou · 05/12/2008 17:39

Ruby. The Reindeers are
Dasher and dancer
Donna and blitzen
Comet and cupid
prancer and vixen

If I remember rightly

BWB a meet up after Xmas sounds really good

Just got time to log on. Managed to spend less than £10 at the fair which was Ed home and slobbing in the front room and tea is made (Sausage and tomato casserole from scratch

Just needed some me time so I thought I'd pop by again

wendycarolsinger · 05/12/2008 19:06

YAY to a northern meetup!

Me time haven't managed that one today ... maybe later. Still have sore throat but sipping red wine (works for MIL - she never ails anything and drinks like a fish)

Can't believe that about your heating Madhouse and how's your hair? Mine was great for a week this time but now a mess. Another style next time.

Ruby reindeer look cool, will try next week. Going to do one Xmas craft per afternoon next week

Bianca you are doing an amazing job managing to juggle everything. Keep on keeping on

GrouchytheDomesticGoddess
