Morning all.

DD2 sick again last night. Beginning to feel like we are in a 'month from hell' documentary.

sawnriver - go for playmobil.

Have loads of bedding to wash today and DD2 wont let me move from her so it could be interesting.

ludaslovinallthelights · 03/12/2008 10:26

Hi all

TMH good luck today with plumbing and meetings

Anne Hope you lot feel better soon, its grim isn't it when everyone is ill hope your dd feels better soon.
My DS has had a bit of a temp the last couple of days, and then I noticed a rash this morning so he has obviously had a mild viral infection I think. He's fine in himself though.
Its just the time of year I think.

WTWTW Hope you have a nice lunch

BTPOB Hope you are all feeling better now too.

Well I just have tidying on the agenda today. I've let the fire go out this morning so it can have a good clean out. I've heard snow is forecast for tomorrow so I think the fire needs re-making after a good clean out.

DontlookatmyNoseImRudolph · 03/12/2008 10:43

Anne - hope your dd feels better soon.

So far I have
Got up and dressed etc
Made bed
Swished and swiped
Done hot spot and 5min room rescue
Put WM on
Emptied and refilled DW
Shinyed sink

Now watching Nemo with ds1 before doing the rest. Had a late night at a Virgin Vie party last night so feeling a bit tired this morning.

LavenderTea · 03/12/2008 11:36

Helloo

Hello sorry everyone..... I've been a bit lapse the last week....

Whole family including me came down with the dreaded winter bugs. A lovely series of them; from tummy bugs to head colds and finally chesty coughs. Little one is also teething big time and hasn't eaten nor slept much since last Wednesday ( not at night anyway) When she is asleep I keep waking for a wee every few hours and so with other little signs I'm feeling very pregnant
It is a bit exciting scary so I haven't been taking much except the odd paracetemol for the cold though I tested yesterday, and got a bfn. Feel slightly disappointed now.

Anyway can I come back to you all please.
My house is in a right old state and my friend is coming to stay at the weekend and I am ashamed to even let her in the door at the moment...

Love LT xx

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 03/12/2008 11:52

Back from Swimming - washer on

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr - Plumber not coming until tomorrow at 9am - my fault as I have the heating on adn the tank etc needs to be cold - wish they had told me - also its a 5 hour job.

So I will be picking mum up after school and doing her and my shopping - she can not lift or pack the bags herself at the moment

Anne Sorry to hear DD not well again. Hope things imporove and glad that you have some heating back at least.

Lunch is cooling

DS2's nose is running like a tap and he is still coughing, although the baths and the nice warm shower were lovley

I have told the boys if they are good in Aldi and Tesco they can have a McDonalds for tea as a treat needs must

Congratulations Lavender Tea.
Thanks for playmobil tip Anne
Three children at home today in varying degrees of illness. Trying to avoid a whole day of telly.
Asked them to find 4 things they didn't want to play with till Feb. Ds2 immediately threw one of DS1 books into box.

DONE
Organised recycling
Organised milkbottles
Dressed self and children
Cleaned out revolting car which was full of the most extraordinary things. It has become a sort of glorified garden shed.
AA man came - now booked garage appt for Sat.
Tidied kitchen
3 loads of washing done and drying.
Made 1 bed, changed 2.
Gave children lunch of toast, jam and cheese
Confirmed babysitter for two evenings out.

TO DO
Rest of ds1 sentences
Whole of ds2 homework
Tiny bit of dd homework handwriting
Write 4 Xmas cards with kids
Stick stamps on
Book Xmas pantomime locally
Orchestrate limited kids' computer time without losing temper.
Make beds again with clean sheets
Put washing away
Sort out bags of rubbish from car.
Tea (macaroni cheese with bacon and tomato)
Hoover dd's bedroom and playroom.

another crap nights sleep but an hour more than the day before so it's a step in the right direction

ds has banged his front tooth and it is discoloured. going to dentist later not that they can do anything. I am devastated and had a mass sobbing fit this morning. Poor kids only 2. Anyone know when adult teeth grow in just in case it falls out or goes totally black, I need some hope to cling to?

done
put some washing away
made bed
5 min quick tidy
took ds to granny's

TheGarishlyTwinkleyMadHouse · 03/12/2008 13:38

I think that the milk teeth come out age 8 -10, but I might be wrong. My friends LO had a slightly discoloured milk tooth, it faded. Hope all is well.

OP posts:
ByThePowerOfBaileys · 03/12/2008 13:51

Bewilder - DS is in reception year (ie 4&5 years old) about 50% of his friends have lost teeth already. HTH

wendylanguage · 03/12/2008 14:10

Afternoon all

Feeling slightly brighter today despite a sore throat and not much sleep again (got stuck reading my book in the bath, whoosh! there went my early night!)

Later all

wendylanguage · 03/12/2008 14:12

Oops tidy up is on my to do list twice! Does that tell you how untidy the house is

By the way - I have a Flylady question. Hands up here who uses a timer and tell me about it! is it something I need to do!?

ByThePowerOfBaileys · 03/12/2008 14:35

I use the timer on the cooker to give me 10 minutes / 15 minutes.

I don't always stop the minute it goes off but I do finish off then.

swanriver · 03/12/2008 15:35

Ruby, I am not ALLOWING dd to go to Beavers even if she wanted to. Everyone is too tired. Unfortunately I have to go as trainee nativity coach.
What a difference day at home makes. Children have admittedly made mess everywhere, but are now playing happily together in a duplo train/ animal rescue/Dr Who combination. And we've had time to do a bit of homework...

DONE
Minestrone
Supper for children

ludaslovinallthelights · 03/12/2008 15:54

BB My DD1 lost her front teeth at 6 years, she is 7 now and still losing teeth. Hopefully your ds's tooth won't discolour anymore.

wendy I use a timer from time to time. Usually when I'm lacking in motivation because it becomes a bit of a challange to try and do as much as I can in the 15 minutes! (I like a good challange )
I also find it spurs me to do more.

Kids are all back from school and they are HYPER!!!
I have spent all afternoon cleaning the carpet in the lounge so they have been banned from going in until it dries.

DS spent at least 20 minutes trying to explain that the school are going to the cinema next week to watch "kupoo fanda"
It took me that long to realise he meant "Kungfu Panda"! [lol!]

scattyspice · 03/12/2008 16:14
