Dh is fed up of me crawling around with my 'vanish power foam' every time i see a mark, and to be honest thats not realy working.

the carpet was brand new when we moved in, and i really want to keep it looking nice.

any ideas? something i can do once a week to clean it up? recommended products? cream carpet owners secrets!?

help! cant stand it!

You can "Scotchguard" it??? Maybe? Never done it with an existing carpet, but have bought carpet with it done. Makes it easy to clean

Anyone who rents out a home with a cream carpet deserves all they get, frankly.

You're going to have to get medieaval on their asses with regards to food and shoes.

Sorry.

large rugs?

we lived in a cottage that had the same problem the front door also opened right onto the living roon CREAM carpet, great with a muddy poushchair. We covered as much as we could with rugs and got it professionally cleaned when we left. It did come up.

Yes, when we rented a place with pale carpets we thought a small investment in rugs (large cotton ones, cheap from Ikea) was preferable to losing our deposit!

PS Carpet shops sell a sort of transparent plastic runner which might work in the hall if you have a buggy to bring indoors.

No shoes rule seems to work in our house
