I really want one but am worried its running around would set my house alarm off if I left it to go when I did school run etc

So does it?

I have a house alarm, it was in when we moved in and I do not yet have a roomba but really want one.

Anyone set their roomba going when they are out?

I would get a Roomba and get rid of the alarm

If I didn't live in an area where the police post leaflets through your door telling you to keep your doors locked in the day when you are in as the crims just walk in I would consider not putting the alarm on but then the crims would probably nick my roomba!

You can get room sensors for alarms that are set to detect movement over a certain height from the floor -if you had these then your Roomba would be fine going about its work.

We had these sensors in our last house, the idea being the cat wouldn't trigger them but they didn't take into account our crazy tortoiseshell cat that likes to sit on tops of doors, scale bookcases
