How do you get cherry tom juice out of clothes?

Have washed at 30 degrees with ecover, no luck. Then put vanish on the stain and washed at 60 degrees with ecover, got some of it out but still a bit stained.

Do I need to be using biological powder for food stains, and am I right in thinking you shouldn't use this on babies clothes

you can use bio powder if you like (stop if you notice a rash) but the enzymes in it are designed to shift protein stains like egg and won;t touch tomato

leave it in the sun for a week

sun??? ; )

Thanks!

I would have soaked it overnight in normal Ariel and then washed it very hot.

When we came back from a recent holiday DD's most beautiful white shirt was stained with pizza and chocolate. The chocolate came out very easily with Vanish but the tomato just needed lots of soaking and very hot washes.

you might be lucky re the sun, if we get a clear day peg out say around midday.

If not, don't tumble dry or iron over the stain as this will set it. It will fade eventually.

peachsmuggler · 27/11/2008 20:01

What you say normal, do you mean bio or non bio Anna?

We don't have a washing line, but guess could put out on balcony.

onepiece - we don't have a tumble fryer and ROFL at thought of ironing

Thanks for all the good advice - knew you lot would know what to do.

If I washed it at 100% (sorry to the environment!) do you think it might shrink?

They don't distinguish bio/non bio in France so I don't know - I use the things that used to be called liquitabs and are now called ecodoses.

peachsmuggler · 27/11/2008 20:03

Goodness, it's all very complicated eh. Guess I will try soaking it in the ecover overnight. Do I soak it in hot water.

Sorry for all the dumb questions, I don't have a clue!!!

Anna I think I have read on here that the UK is one of the few countries to do bio and non bio options, so your Ariel probably is bio.

OP I would say hot water, but you may get other opinions.
