Toy Storage

I need some good, sturdy and not too ugly toy storage for my front room.

At the moment we've got a big seagrass chest from Homebase, but it's not sturdy enough and is falling apart after just a few weeks. Ideally I'd like a proper chest but with toddlers I'm too paranoid of heavy lids slamming down.

What do you all do?

We have just bought this big unit thing from ikea that fits baskets and shelves in it cost £109 so DS can have the bottom ones to keep stuff in.

In his room we have a storage system from the childrens range also from ikea with the bright primary coloured boxes that slide in and out all different sizes. We just bring different boxes down for him to play with then its tidy and back up. Though we try to stick to one box down one box back up. He is now old enough to ask for which box he would like 'big cars' or mr potatoe etc.

So even with new unit we stil dont keep many down stairs.
