i saw one of these in my sunday supplement (yeah, i know, usually full of stuff one one cuold possibly want), however, this looked quite good, it plugs into the mains, costs about 3p and hour to run and 50quid to buy, folds really flat for storage. what i want to know is

does it dry things or just 'cook' them so they go crispy? iyswim?

Don't do it! I bought the same thing a little while ago, it's actually a towel warmer, says on the wrapper when you get it! It is ok for drying tiny things like baby socks or bibs, but on the whole a total waste of money.

Something that only costs 3p an hour to run is not going to dry clothes effectively, hence why tumble driers cost a lot more to run!
