HELP what can i use to get rid of masking tape residue

on ds1 window frame we put masking tape on it to keep the blind down in the summer, now we have all the residue/sticky brown marks. How can i get rid of it?

hot hairdryer on it and wipe off

with a wet cloth or dry?

bit of cooking oil on a cloth and rub hard.

I know that lifts sticky stuff......altho not sure about the brown marks.

nail polish remover - but take care if it's painted, try a teeny patch first

Nail varnish remover, if the window frame is plastic (or a painted wooden surface you could live with damaging/touching up afterwards)

Eucalyptus oil lifts sticky stuff.
