What can I soak my blocked shower head in?

Ive unscrewed it from the thingy and poured viakal inside and all over , and then cilit bang , but it still seems coated in limescale and blocked with stuff. We seem to have the hardest water here.

What else can be done? Coke? Or will that affect the coating of it?

Vinigar - but make sure it doesn't blast away the coating.

Put in a bowl of neat vinigar for a few hours & the limescale should just come off.

Yep, vinegar should do it. Leave it overnight.

Kilrock is a really good descaler. It was the only thing that would descale my kettle in Cyprus where the water is soooooooooo hard.

Vinegar should sort it. We have really hard water too, vinegar works every time. Spirit vinegar is best, it is clear and doesn't smell as bad.

Apparently coca cola works too but haven't tried that one!

ok have used the rest of a medium sized bottle of clear malt vinegar and added a teeny bit of water to make more volume and immerse the whole thing.

Hopefully it will work by this evening as I need to have a shower and it was spraying the whole bathroom this morning!

Isnt Mn great !!!

Melsy - so was mine but I sprayed it with Limelite spray, left it a few minutes, and then got stuck in with an old toothbrush. It looks good as new now, though it was a pain in the neck to do.

I put mine in Milton fluid!
