You know, they suck up water, and of course after a while when you sqeeze them out this crud comes out too . I am a FT mum, I am trying to get back onto the cleaning thing (what IS a Hot Spot)and the lists and organisational skills of some of you are amazing..you'd not think there were children in the house hampering all your efforts too. So, help me clean my bathroom please - cleaning the toyss, what other thing should I be doing, other than the usual wipe round and brush-down-the-loo thing?

Milton fluid/ tablets. It's the only thing that works. Bleach your grout once a fortnight. Stops it going pink/ black.

I use Dettox/Dettol mould and mildew remover. Suck it up into the bath toys, swish it round and leave it for half an hour or so. Then squirt it out, and suck up water to rinse.

Just don't have squeaky/squeezy bath toys. Dirty nasty badly designed things! We just have things which can be scrubbed properly now like cups, boats, solid plastic figures etc, after all our rubber ducklings turned a funny bruised colour and n closer inspection were found to be chock full of black mould.
