Roman blind advice - v upset

Hi

I've got a real problem with two childrens bedrooms. I had two roman blinds made and decorated and bought accessories for both bedrooms to match these blinds.

When they arrived I looked at them and they seemed to be fine so I got rid of the curtains in these bedrooms. However, when we went to put them up we found they are not rectangular in shape but slightly parallelogram shaped which means that they are useless.

Person who made them said she would refund if I sent them back but I have asked for them to be made again. One of the blinds is an unusual colour and we painted the bedroom to match and spent money on duvet covers, light, cushions etc.

Is this a common mistake with large roman blinds?

Anyone know of reasonably priced online roman blind makers just in case?

It is quite hard to get them exactly square with certain kinds of fabric.

The difference is 5cm so not a small amount and completely noticeable.

How completely annoying. Did the person who made them measure the window herself? How big are the windows? Are both the blinds the same wrong shape? I think it is completely fair for you to ask her to make them again but maybe double check the measurments with her again. This is really unacceptable for someone who makes them for a living.

Both blinds are the wrong shape. She did not measure the window herself as the blinds were ordered via the web. She has made the blinds the right width and length but the four corners of the blinds are not 90 degrees and therefore diagonal measurement is 5 cm too short.

I am gutted and have asked her to remake but radio silence at the moment.
