Morning all

Do we need links?

I'm guessing the babies aren't doing extra steps at the weekend?

And you know what, it too me and dh only about 2 hours to clean and tidy our completely trashed house, scrub up spills etc, change all the beds and guest beds, clean the kitchen and do the washing - we still got time to go and feed the ducks this morning!

Flying or what?! And it's all down to you ladies on here (that especially includes you, Grouchy! Feeling cheerier yet? )

wendylanguage · 23/11/2008 15:23

it only took that should say not too

Afternoon.

I am finally feeling better, but A LITTLE GRUMPY AS I TOOK DS and dd2 to the park (in the freezing cold) and dithered about for over an hour so dp could do some work in the sitiing room, and got back to find he hasn't done it!

Ah well, at least ds and dd2 are happy now.

GO - Well done on pacing yourself
Sorry you are feeling unappreciated by the men in your life, though. I think they need a kick, not you!

afternoon all grouchy I know what you mean about feeling like a magic invisible elf that does all the cleaning and no-one ever notices. In my case I am not a train (for ds) or a small shiny soldier (for dp) at this rate I'm going to turn into a microfibre cloth and no-one will notice.

done

been to park to see ducks
been to garden centre to look for artificial tree still pondering as I prefer the real ones

Groucy I think sometimes that men think we have fairies that do the house things. One thing I am determined to do for my boys is make them aware of the house work and they help infact.

We have had a really nice day. We have been out this afternoon for a walk and a cake and tea treat for the boys being good and then been back and had dinner, bath and Pj's for them. They are currently reading with DH.

We have also been and got DS1 some trainers and tracksuit, size three ball so that he can do the 3/4 year old football on a sunday that the local team are opening. He wants to do it and we are hoping it will get rid of some of the surpluss energy. In fact DH has offered to take them both it is on a sunday at 10.30 for an hour. SO I can do lunch in peach adn have a little me time

I need to just put the clean bedding on my bed
Ironing and put away
Plans for the week
Bath

I will be back with babysteps in the morning.

Mad Your day sounds good, and great that DH is taking boys to football sundays. My dh looks after my two saturdays when I'm at yoga class and I cherish the time on my own

I'm lucky, my DH doesn't usually take me for granted. His mum made him do housework and ironing from a young age - she's a star! I remember when he went to university she bought him black sheets and pillow cases in case they weren't cleaned often and also because he used to put whites and darks together in the wash! I didn't used to visit him at university so often (I was Edinburgh, he was Cambridge - a long trek!) but when I did my stipulation was always clean bedding and breakfast in bed. He still keeps it up now (16 years on!) with a cuppa in bed every morning and it's him who changes the bed once a week. Bless.

Wendy You will never hear me complain about DH very often, as I too am a lucky woman. I always get a cup of tea in bed and a weekly lie in on a Sat. Infact once a week he always sleep in with the boys from them being tiny to give me a break. He is as good as they come really and we have a fair division of labour really.

Boys are in bed finally and the ironing is done and away.
I have pinched DS2's teddys and put them in the washer - they will need to go straight in the dryer, so he doesnt miss them
