Static electricity in Fleece Blanket

DD1's beloved bed time blanket literally crackles with static charge at night.

I wash with fairy powder and comfort pure fabric conditioner, then tumble dry.

What am I doing wrong????

Tumbledryer sheets instead of liquid conditioner should do the trick- can be a bit perfumey though
