how do I know whether a chicken is fully defrosted or not?!

2kg chicken - took it out of the freezer yesterday at about 5pm yesterday and it has been in the fridge (top shelf) since. Is it ok to roast it this evening? Was hoping to have it ready by about 6pm. SHould I take it out of the fridge now? Thanks!

Sorry - had to nip out. No I can't - it all seems pretty solid. Should I leave it out now to defrost more, or put it back in the fridge and roast it in the morning? Thanks - I'm hopeless with the whole freezer thing.
