Sticker residue on clothing - what do I do???

DS2 had a charity sticker stuck to his fake sheepskin coat (I think it's a Ladybird one). I was going to wash it this morning but can't get all the sticker off.
Any advice greatfully received.

Vodka or any strong clear alcohol - dabbed on will shift it.

nail polish remover - but test on a small area first to make sure it doesn't take the colour away.
Actually the last thing like this that we had was neatly disappeared with washing-up liquid, poured a tiny amount undiluted on to the sticky bit
