Portable dishwashers?

I didn't even know until about a week ago that portable dishwashers exist I think that it'd be a really good choice for us as we're renting, the kitchen's all fitted & quite small, but we have a baby on the way & washing up still makes me feel sick (pregnancy related) & I know that we're hardly going to fancy washing up by hand all the time when we have all the other newborn issues to contend with.

So I was wondering if anyone has any comments or advice about what I should think about? I know that's a bit vague, but I have very little idea & general googling isn't particularly helpful when you're as ignorant as I am - I don't even know if you need to have accessible & suitable plumbing in place, or not? Stupid question, I'm sure

Pfft, well that's my tactic at the moment, too

My SIL used to have one in her flat - I think there was a pipe you put on your kitchen tap and the outlet just ran into the sink. She found it a bit of a pain after a while because the capacity was a bit small - I don't think she could really do pans and big stuff like that in it. But if you just want a few mugs and plates through, then it's probably ok.

I considered one at one point but by the time I seen the price and really like Amum said below the capactiy is really small I decided it wasn't worth it really as For all they hold I would either have to run it about 10 times a meal or still stand there and do a pile of dishes anyway.
In the end I found corner of my kitchen and got a slimline one, still not a massive capacity and do sometimes need to do some dishes but not often and was around the same price as the portabel/worktop ones as well.

I think it's still probably worth considering for the smaller things so long as it's not going to cost a fortune...

I trying to find cheapdishwashers, before xmas comes - I used many sites - argos was cheap

They are a pain in the ass. The water pressure will never be good enough, so you'll have to rewash stuff you take out.
