Hi hunnybun, when my house gets to that stage and it all seems overwhelming, I make a list. I list everything that has to be done then I sit with a cup of coffee and number them in order of what should be done.
One of the first I would do is the washing as that can be working in the machine whilst you are. One of the second is to make the beds, put things away, empty bins etc as then the house LOOKS a lot tidier. Load the dishwasher too if you have one or if not, wash them all and rinse under hot water so that they can dry by themselves whilst you are making beds etc and then you can come down and put them away once they are dried.

thanks for that i will do that have just washed my dishes, and am having a coffee so will number them now

(only ten more to go) hope not

have my coffee and then

1 make beds
2 put dishes away
3 empty bins
4 put another load of washing in
5 put some clean clothes away (the ironing will have to wait)
6 clean bathroom

go and start with the chore you like least.

i'm having a coffee waiting for bottles to sterilise.

got one load of washing in already.

dryer is empty. need to put away girls' clothes.

LOTS of organising to do here, but waiting till my mother gets here to take the girls off my hands so i can focus on it.

baby sleeping, but his grunting woke me up.

he was up from 4.45-6 this morning.

If heavy duty bleach applied with a hard (old!)toothbrush won't work, then re-grout thetiles. Its not difficult and less effort I think
