I have a sideboard where I'd like a lamp however the plug socket is on another wall and you would see the stretch of the wire so would look unsightly.

Are there such things as cordless lamps with - god thsi sounds stupid but batteries!

I have a similar problem. I looked everywhere and the best I can find are from this website www.neoz.com.au/home.asp but the small Eco Egg lamp is around £150, which is too much for me. Other than that, Philips do some pretend candle things, but that isn't quite the thing. Dragon's Den anyone?

will attempt to link but am being harrassed by small children lol!

However, here is a google search for cordless lamps!
