Or does anyone have any other top recommendations for freshening carpets (other than washing 'em)?

I think they do still make it, I'm sure you can get it at tesco.
I dont use it, have no carpets apart from the one in the bedroom

Use Bicarb - you can get 99p box in tesco.

they stil make it, i have some in my kitchen. i get it in asda but i cant remember how much it costs. i also use bicarb, does as good a job at removing odours but i like the shake and vac smell.
