i must confess to cleaning my oven (badly) once since purchasing it a year ago.

It's the shiny chrome shelves I can't clean... & I have a Lakeland basin thingy. Anyone got any tips?

Many new ovens are self cleaning so you just turn them up very high and close the door!

you need oven pride - you can get it in tesco etc - v good for chrome racks (so long as you can take them out the oven), you put them in the bag with the cleaning stuff and next day they are like new!

I did mine with Oven Pride a few weeks ago, and it was fab.

Lakeland and kleeneze or betterware catalogues do 'ovenmate' and it is true magic.

You brush on this no smelling clear gel, leave for a few hours and simply wipe of with kitchen roll, no fuss, elbow grease or smell. Like I said tis magic!
