Cleaning the fins inside double radiators

Fizzylemonade · 10/11/2008 16:28

I have one of those flat duster things that means you can clean behind a radiator, but there is dust in those narrow fins behind my single radiators and inside the double ones.

I need some kind of very narrow long handled brush, does anyone have one and can point me in the right direction?

It's the kitchen radiator and I hang my tea towel and hand towel on it so I would rather it was clean.

I know it makes me sound like some kind of clean freak and I can assure you I am a slattern but seeing the fur of dust makes me gag in the kitchen.

I don't have any wire coat hangers they are all wooden

I have a special brush - I got it from a department store & I can't rmeember the make but it's German.

Can't honestly say I use it as often as I ought to, though

Yes, I have a very long brush with a flexible handle. Look in a good independent hardware store.

SoupDragon · 12/11/2008 14:13

Why on earth would you?? Stick a shelf over the top of the radiator so you can't see.

I have a kind of long bottlebrush thing that I got from cleanezz, I think they are actually for cleaning venetian blinds but they work really well for this too!
