Morning Mad, and others.

Am today as woke up with earache (has been steadily building up and becomming increasingly deaf ove past 2 wks!). Then when we all got into the car (which came back from the garage yesterday) it wouldn't start! DH has other car so I can't get to work/nursery .

Have:
walked (run) ds to school
called work (have to take unpaid leave)
garage have towed car away
phoned GP have appt for Tues evening

Feeling calmer now

Shannaratiger · 07/11/2008 10:12

Sink shiny
Living room cleared so radiator accessable.

Morning all

ooh could do with a tummy control swimmie - may I ask where you got yours Shannara?
I am loving the image of MiniMads little whirls of fun!
Scatty - sounds like today can only get better after a start like that - what are you going to do with your surprise day at home?
Hi Ruby

I have done the standard morning stuff and finished off 2 cakes for delivery today - one car cake one tennis cake. I need to get more efficient or charge more - they are costing me about the same amount to make as I am being paid

anyway going to spend some time with DS2
going to have an easy day today.. not coping with pressure so have taken foot off the pedal.

later ladies.

tigger32 · 07/11/2008 11:42

Morning all

We've just got back from toddlers, house is still in ok state so going to have an easy day
just going to iron

Taking both boys to soft play after school to meet some friends and have tea so only need to sort dinner for me and dh.

greyskull Good idea to take take it easy for a while, I didn't know you made cakes, do you have photos?

LOL at the control swim suit, I'm wondering if its the way to go? Only thing is I would need one with legs as my thighs are my problem

bythepowerofgreyskull · 07/11/2008 11:44

some on profile.. have taken photos of the last few weeks but not posted them yet as they are still on the camera.

enjoy your ironing

TheMadHouse · 07/11/2008 11:47

The minimads are back after banking, leaping, clapping, jumping and swishing ribbons and scarfs like the true minimads that they are

They are now shouting for lunch I thought they had better manners.

Oh - your cakes are fab Greyskull what do you charge

*I will need a new costume in Feb - when I have my new breasts

Scatty That is crap - it really is

Shanna Good luck re the plummer

We still dont have the heating sorted - I am grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. But part is on order, so should be done next week. I will them discuss compensation for all the extra Gas we will have use and the extra electric etc

I am charging £20 for the sports cake and £25 for the car cake but the car is gold and the can of gold spray paint was £8 the icing cost £5 the cake ingredients cost £4.50 the cake board was £2.50. but hey ho. leaving a whopping £5 for about 5 hours work - oh well!

TheMadHouse · 07/11/2008 12:03

Anne You have won again look

OP posts:
TheMadHouse · 07/11/2008 12:05

greyskull Undercharging. Start at £30 and then go up. I would expalain that the metalic colours cost more. It will be earier one you have done a few, as you could list them with a picture and a price.

Hi again.

Having quite a nice day now. DD and I have been making scones, the kitchen looks like a flour bomb went off LOL. I took a little movie of dd baking (with the digi camera) tis hilarious .

shanna hope the plumer came (and fixed the heating and didnt charge much).

greyskull those cakes are fantastic. I LOVE the charlie and Lola ones! You could definately charge £30 at least.

mad hope the heating gets fixed soon, you must be freezing!

To do:
phone garage (if I dare!)
take dd for a walk
collect ds

CLEAN UP!

FiveDollarShake · 07/11/2008 12:50

Afternoon all

Had a lovely lie in this morning till 9.30am as DP got up with the DC's.
The house isnt looking too bad at the moment (as long as I close our and spare bedroom doors!) so Im gonna chill a bit.
Dp has taken DS out with the falcon and they're not expected back till 5pm !

I've been up in the loft and dug out DS's old snowsuit for DD- its a lovely denim one from Mamas and Papas, so Im thinking if I put her a pink hat on she wont look too much like a boy! Also brought out DS's old walker which will be fun in the coming weeks.

TMH Music and movement sounds fun. DS would love that he loves dancing. There are no groups/classes like that around here .

grouchyoscar · 07/11/2008 12:54

I'd pay for a lie in atm $5

Hello everybody

Just dropping bye to say hello. I've been on a course this morning then Home for a quick lunch then I'm going back to help at the school

DH at football tonight and I've got to sort out getting home from the rugby

Bye and have a great evening

sagacious · 07/11/2008 13:01

Quick fly by from me as well
Off out tonight

Off to London to meet dh and friends for dinner/clubbing and crashing at scrummy hotel

to do

Pack kids off to MIL for sleepover

Have a good weekend all

Shannaratiger · 07/11/2008 13:17

Afternoon

The plumber still haven't come, luckily we're council so it's included in the rent. Just really annoying when I need to go to Tesco's, DS has now gone down for a nap and I have to pick DD up for 3:30.

My swimming costume came out of the additions catalogue I think.
grouchy busy day!!
greyskull at being able to make beautiful cakes. With my wheat free flour they don't rise, and dairy free marg makes icing a nightmare. I try my best though and they get eaten v. fast so they taste ok.
Fivedollar well done on the lie in.
tigger enjoy the soft play.

I'm off to phone the council.

Jas · 07/11/2008 13:47

Hello[smile

Thanks MAD

I've not got off to a very good start We've been to toddler group, and I walked to the next town and spent £3on things to stick on my shoes to hopefully put off having to have them resoled.

I got meat out of the freezer to go in the slow cooker for todays tea, but didn't do it last night, so that will be tomorrows tea now. Jacket pots (again) tonight.

My buggy is dead, and I hate the one I've borrowed, so I'm going to try another one next week.

I have one hour, so I'm not going to read the thread, sorry, but will do 15 mins in each room, and come back before the school run.

TheMadHouse · 07/11/2008 15:47

evening all,
have had a gentle day.. had to have a chat with DS1 about not hitting people at school!!!!! there will be no treatnight tonight.. (he usually gets to drink his bedtime milk watching the stars come out if he gets 10 stars at school)
We have a sorry card to make for the little girl who went home crying from the playpark

Hope you all have a great weekend, won't be round much.

Jas · 07/11/2008 17:38

Oh, dear, greyskull. I've had a look at the cakes you posted pics of.....they are great! You definitely need to charge more, though.

lucysmam · 07/11/2008 18:37

Good evening everyone, just thought I'd pop in and say hello while I'm doing my online shopping. Still no computer & not looking like it's going to be sorted before Xmas so am borrowing MIL's every week or so for now. If it's not fixable then looking like we'll have to claim on insurance for it!

Hope you are all well and Xmas preparations are going well, and all your kids are good . Mine's fab at the mo, picking up a few words every day & growing so fast

Anyways, best get finished off & our lo to bed soon, take care all xx
