Are they 100% cotton? Because if they are then I find them a nightmare to iron.

The only way I can get creases out of 100% cotton is to iron them when they are quite damp.

sounds like they are too dry, you need to iron when they are still slightly damp and then hang over a bannister of something

Wash them again & iron when just damp

think thats the only option, thank you all, back to the machine!!!!

Get your dry cleaner to iron them. They have special gigantic irons and wont cost you much.

I just use plenty of fabric conditioner when washing bedsheets, + tumble dry on low. I find they come out pretty much crease free. Don't tumble dry on high though, the creases will be etched in!!

tumble drier packed in about a month ago, new one arriving on tue, i suppose i could restrain myself from washing them till then.!!! thanks onthepier

put a cow on each corner and get them to walk backwards whilst holding it in their teeth
