how do you organised types remember when to do things like empty hot wash to clean the washing machine or those jobs that need doing only infrequently? Do I need an eg quarterly planner or is there a better way. I'm full of good intentions but they fall by the wayside in the daily routine of ordinary stuff

I am a fly lady and that is how I do it.

The site is a tad lot american, but if you can get past that it really works.

We have a daily thread on the good housekeeping topic where we post the daily mission.

By doing the babysteps I developed a routine and contol spredsheet.

It has transformed my life - My house used to be a tip and I was always chasing my tail, not having enough time for anything. Now it is clean, I dont worry about it and I actually play with the children adn they clean with me too

Yes I am gushing
