For some reason I have it in my head that they are a bit of fire risk ? I could be wrong, of course, it's one of those things that rings a vague bel. Long buried info and all that.

They are deffo v £££ to run

I will tell you a true story (this was back in the late 80s when electricity was cheaper)

I was friends with some students who lived in a student house. They had a lovely fan heater. It was on all day and most of the night for 3 months. When the bill came it was £300.

Yes it was toasty and warm, but that was (still is) a lot of money.

I use one pointed into the bathroom while I bath DD. It means I'm only warming 1 room up. I wouldn't use it all the time though.
