beansmum · 30/10/2008 15:28

We've done two. It was my first time, I don't know how you're supposed to get all the insides out, it was very tricky.

Blu · 30/10/2008 15:29

Yuk, no - can't stand the smell of it in the house for longer than necessary!

Will do it just before dark tomorrow and put it in the compost as soon as DS has gone to bed!

ScareyBitchFeast · 30/10/2008 15:30

Cheesesarnie · 30/10/2008 15:56

bum maybe thats why ive got an upset stomach!

Housemum · 30/10/2008 16:17

What do you use to carve out bits? I bent a tablespoon trying last year, and slipped and cut myself with a knife so not looking forward to this year...

haggisaggis · 30/10/2008 16:34

Once you've scooped out the seeds and some of the flesh, make perforations in the design you want with a skewer then cut through with a knife.
I've got 4 to do tonight! and a spider and a bat costume to finish.

Housemum · 30/10/2008 18:05

Sorry, I meant to carve out the flesh? I'm OK doing the face, but wanted to actually use some of the flesh?

muggglewump · 30/10/2008 18:09

DD has just taken hers to Beavers. I did a ghost one, although I messed up the first one and had to buy another.
It looks pretty good though
