how do I prevent DG from falling and slipping?

DP & I have rubber-soled slippers, (contain your excitement at this image please!)

Do I need to buy Dg some too, or would bare feet be safer? I am just ooh er at the thought of bare feet on cold flors as I am a very, very nesh person.

Your advice please?

Yes, we got ds some rubber soled slippers.

Darling Grandchildren though the goldfish might appreciate some form of heating as I'm being very tight with the heating at the mo.

You really dont want them barefeet on the laminate. You dont realize it, as you are cosy in YOUR slippers, but laminate is about the coldest floor on the planet, after ceramic tiles.

You should also invest in a rug for them to sit on, on the floor. You dont want them to get urinary infections from freezing down below.

We've got rugs and 'fluffy' bean bags. They are so lively and love sliding around, DGD banged her head yesterday so was just wondering what other people do.

Am LOL cos I sound as though I sit there in my beautifully warm rubber soled slippers while DG shiver in front of me, saying.

In reality I wrap them up and insist on hats, gloves, scarves etc,(not indoors yet). DD is exactly the same so they are always warm and toasty. I wondered if MN had discovered some fab sliper socks or something but am happy to buy some ordinary slippers for them.

Am also tickled by Qs's echoing of my nan's 'you'll get a cold in your kidneys if you go out in that' comments. I come over all peculiar if I see anyone without a coat when it's cold, I'm so nesh it's unbelievable. I've been looking at old photos since my mum died and realise that I was so wrapped up as a toddler that I couldn't put my arms down at my side
