Morning TMH

am really really going to try this week.

Mondays are proper manic for me, anyway

Kitchen,
dw unloaded and reloaded
kitchen cleaned
breakfasts done
Bathrooms SS
beds made
washing unloaded and reloaded

Got to make some major progress in the sitting room this morning.. off to tumble tots at 10 so got 1 hour.. should be enough to tidy and do a bit of ironing.

back from tumble tots for quick lunch then out to the messy playgroup I run

should be back in the house about 4.30-5pm

So How is everyone? TMH - did you manage to get rid of the germs going round the house?

Hope you all had a good weekend.

bythepowerofgreyskull · 20/10/2008 09:07

x posts - how is your Mum?

TheMadHouse · 20/10/2008 09:09

Greyskull Germs are gone - thankfully - till the next lot, but at least we all share.

My mum is OK, Bro had her yesterday. She misses my dad, she never dealt with his death (which was v truamatic, industrial accident and he was in ICU under solid sediation and paralising drug until he died). But it is hard dealing with someone who is so bloody minded and hard work without the added depression

bythepowerofgreyskull · 20/10/2008 09:11

you are amazing... how do you do it! Good to see your brother taking his share

TheMadHouse · 20/10/2008 09:18

I am NOT amazing, just living my life really. I think the CBT has done wonders for me and I have dealt with a lot of the issues I had with her and life in general.

I have resolved that my boys are the most important thing in my life along with my wonderful DH at the moment and I am determined that they not grow up with a loopy mother like I did.

It has been a long hard slog to get to where I am now, but it has been oh so worth it.

Good Morning!

Mad do you mind if I try and do some of your list again? They tend to be better organised than mine! Think I'd have to skip the descale shower head one though . . not posh enough to have en-suite bathroom!

greyskull nice to see you again

I am determined to be more organised as of today so that things don't get on top of me again! A small one to start with & some more added when that's done for today as there's a few things I want to do when lo is sleeping tonight

~Pots
~S&s bathroom & kitchen
~clear stairs
~wash footy kit & dry
~Friday's budget
~finish shopping list

When that's done, I am going to do the first few thngs off Mad's list maybe & then a break to play with the lo

luda hope the kids are better today & dd2's mouth isn't too painful any more

Have a good Monday all xx
~

ludaloo · 20/10/2008 10:01

Morning all

Well kids are all back at home. I took them up to school this morning and they decided to be on the safe side they shouldn't be at school until the symptoms had gone. They had their school photo's done (not the whole school photo though) and now we are back!

So I just need to entertain them and crack on with the house.

Kaplumbagadort · 20/10/2008 10:20

Morning all.
I have a headache and runny nose! Sneezing too! Looks like i have caught the kids cold. Lucky me!

Houdini is still on the loose. No sign of him/her last night. The dog did wake me at 3am though He yelped really loudly about 6 times. I couldn't see anything and DD2, who was in my bed too, was right at the top of the bed away from him. Really freaked me out and i was awake then for about an hour.

I need to tidy up everywhere. Soooo much mess all over the house. Well, except DS2's room! I helped him tidy it yesterday. I say 'helped' but i don't think he did much!

Have to help DS1 with his next. Although he should be able to do it himself! They will both have to keep the tidy themselves now or i will not be giving out pocket money!

intravenouscoffee · 20/10/2008 10:32

Morning all, just bookmarking for later. Thanks for posting the list TMH - your lists are great!

ludaloo · 20/10/2008 11:05

Kaplum Ooooh hope the dog is ok!

Mad I'm going to pinch your list too if you don't mind....much easier to follow than the vague one in my head!

Kaplumbagadort · 20/10/2008 11:10

Luda He seems fine. Very bizare! How are your kids feeling now?

MUST GET OFF MY BUM!!!

Jas · 20/10/2008 11:14

TheMadHouse · 20/10/2008 11:49

Hi Everyone

Fee free to nab my lists, I need one otherwise I wouldnt know where to start. I did mine when babystepping and just add to them if I have left something off

Toddler group was great, they boys have had fun with glitter paint and glue and are both covered in the stuff.

I am now going to do them lunch.

We are having mince and yorkshire for dinner and mum is coming over - si I need to get my cleaning all out of the way before she arrives.

OP posts:
Kaplumbagadort · 20/10/2008 11:49

I was going to make cupcakes! No eggs left! Will have to finish them later.

Have started tidying up around comp desk.

lucysmam · 20/10/2008 12:22

Mad can I come for lunch please???

I got soup out of the freezer last night . . . it's been in the fridge . . . it's still frozen! & the yoghurt I've just given the lo was half frozen too. Not that she's bothered but fridge is turned right down to 1 so nothing should freeze in there, but it is

kaplum I'm definately sticking to the fish after reading that!!! Is the dog ok now?

I have almost done my little list, footy kit is half way through washing & drying & then it's time for a proper break for lunch & then start Mad's list for a couple of hours.

Then a small list of my own
~handwrite babysteps (easier for me to follow things if I have them written on paper)
~re-adjust shopping list & get rid of £20 worth of shopping
~finish off my xmas list
~tomorrow's shopping list of top-ups

scattyspice · 20/10/2008 12:27

Hi all.

Mad you really do have a good attitude to life (and cleaning lol). I've been a bit moody lately for no good reason . Need to snap out of it.

Kaplumb Your post reminded me I was goiung to start giving DS pocket money (so I could withold it lol). When did you start with yours?

DD woke me up at 5 .

To do:
House bleugh.
reading with ds
pictures with dd.

Kaplumbagadort · 20/10/2008 12:39

Lucysmam Dog is fine! Who knows what hurt him if something did! Why can't dogs talk?

Scatty Just starting to think about it now tbh. I was trying to get DS1 to do more to help and rewarding with money but that seems to have been given up on so i was thinking of so much per month only if their rooms are kept tidy each week. I'm not sure how much is enough for 11 and 9 yr olds.

Floor is tidyer and hoovered now. Not totally tidy but i am really sleepy so not going to do too much.

kiwibella · 20/10/2008 13:45

hi... I am just wondering what is on your lists Mad... or where I can find them? I have been thinking about doing this to organise my housework throughout the week instead of cramming it all in when I get a "busy-on". I noticed the links are to flylady. Thanks
