Nesting alert!
My lodger has just moved out, I'm pregnant and the baby's due in 10 weeks. I'd really like to reclaim the bed she's been using as it's the better one (lovely Hypnos mattress - very comfy!)
But ... not only is it not terribly clean, my lodger used to smoke in her room and I really don't feel comfortable with the idea of having my baby in a bed which a heavy smoker has been in.
The mattress is the non-turnable type, and it's upholstered with a layer of cotton felt and lambswool (lovely to sleep on but maybe difficult to clean/dry?)
How do you give a mattress a thorough clean without using lots of chemicals? And how do you dry it out properly if you haven't got outside space?
Help!
Thanks
