rr good for you giving the course a go, honestly speaking from experience its the little things like that that start to make you feel like a normal human again you do need to carve out a bit of time and space and self for yourself, you are not being self centered you have every right to have a moan, that's what friends are for

Bewilderbeast · 11/10/2008 22:25

lucysmam you need some HG Service Engineer which you can buy from lakeland for the poorly wm

lucysmam · 11/10/2008 22:30

IVC yup, it does sound a bit High School Musical-ish! Never seen it myself but I get what you meant!

Bewilder is it expensive? I'll have a look in the morning I think, too knackered right now. & I find the Lakeland site very very tempting with lots of lovely gadgety things I could never dream of being able to afford to own

Bewilderbeast · 11/10/2008 22:37

lucysmam I think it is about 7 pounds for 2 doses and will do wm or dw, I think it's excellent when used every couple of months, gets dw much cleaner than the finish cheapo equivalent

lucysmam · 11/10/2008 22:39

Not lucky enough to posess a dw, unless you count moi?

£7 for 2 lots is not too bad, will definately have a look in the morning. Thanks for the tip

Morning ALL
Quick fly by (geddit?)

Still have no proper floor (lovely fitters have been working all over the weekend .. they've just turned up again) as there were such problems getting the old one up and they're fully booked for all next week.

Have run out of biscuits though (they exist on caffiene and sugar)

bewilder ruby and everyone on a tough time hope you have better days

(must admit I had an inappropriate giggle at "brace yourself")

BB (when I get a chance)

Bewilderbeast · 12/10/2008 09:14

morning all

done

ds fed
dw unloaded, reloaded and on
kitchen floor swept

intravenouscoffee · 12/10/2008 09:30

Morning all, just popping in. Sink needs shining and I've s and s'd the bathroom this morning. Also washing is on.
Am I a shallow person if having a shiny sink makes me feel happy? Will pop back later if I get a chance.(DD wanting a lot of attention at the mo) Hope everyone has a restful day.

TheMadHouse · 12/10/2008 09:39

Morning all

We had a really nice night and are having a lzy morning, although DH is hanging out washing as I type.

DS2 is colouring and waiting for his breaky
DS1 woke my mum at 5am and refused to go back to bed

Later

lucysmam · 12/10/2008 09:41

Morning ladies

Bad night's sleep, kept waking up every hour & when I finally got to sleep must have slept funny as my shoulders are killing . OH just left for footy & has done everything for me this morning so just Sunday lunch to prepare & he said he'll cook it when he's back . . . . wonder what he's after

IVC I don't think it makes you shallow at all to have your shiny sink make you happy. Mine always makes me smile when it's nice & clean

Pottering day today here for me, not much I need to do so just see what gets done I think apart from my washing again.

Bewilder ordered from Lakeland while oh has been doing morning stuff, fingers crossed it does the tick!

Right, off to pop kettle on for another cuppa and s&s bathroom (definately a me job rather than oh job!)

Have a fab day everyone xx

Have been loading old wooden floor into MIL car, will be having a big bonfire in the field. Fog has cleared and its a lovely day ! (until I smoke out the whole village!)

Just spilt a whole cup of coffee over me and the kitchen floor (lucky it was only warm ... I suppose procrastinating has saved me from a nasty burn....)

I'm back & I'm bored!

The lo is launching herself onto the bean bag & giggling like a loon & I've been playing on here most of the day so far since oh did everything this morning

Can't bloody win . . . he does it I'm bored; he doesn't I get ratty because he doesn't help out

Oh well.

I have prepared lunch ready to cook, s&s'd the bathroom, started my online shop for next week, made beds, sorted explosive nappy, druk several cuppas & sorted washing though. So not a completely wasted morning. Just feel like I ought to be doing something since the lo is entertaining herself but I don't know what else to do

grouchyoscar · 12/10/2008 12:59

I stayed in bed under 'orders' from DH as the last time he went to football I moved Ed's room round (inc a double wardrobe). Didn't want to get into trouble again. Plus I spent a good ammount of time pretifying myself for the night out so that was hard enough work on it's own.

I have done 2 job apps this morning! I'm getting them down to a fine art now. (still no job tho )

Oh DONE

Up with Ed
Make him a den in the front room
Make the bed
Have breakfast
Empty WM and sort for drying
Sort bag from last night

To Do

Sweep downstairs
Mop downstairs floors
Vac stairs and landing
Ironing
Sandwiches for tomorrow
Clothes and bags to get ready

Finish tea and make a start

cafebistro · 12/10/2008 13:29

Hi All
Just checking in. hope evryones having a lovely Sunday! Dp is working (again!) .

MIL arrived last night and she's already doing my head in. She's asleep in the armchair as I type.
Done lots of bits this morning, laundry, tidyed and cleaned kitchen again. Why does nobody pick up after themselves? Its like having 4 kids at the moment!
Talks about moving have been postphoned until MIL leaves. We cant really discuss anything while she's here.

grouchyoscar · 12/10/2008 14:12

sweeping and mopping done downstairs and the bathroom too

Back from the field. (left dh there on fire alert)

All the wood has gone (went up instantly)big flames but no smoke, very satisfying then..
Dh decided to strim the waist high weeds and add it (cue plumes of smoke) At one point a police helicopter pointedly buzzed around us !! Was half expecting them to get the loudhailer out and shame pyroboy (dh) into dousing it

dc's worn out after all that smoke filled fresh air so we're back having a chilled afternoon.

Still have no furniture in the living room (need to get dh's mate to help lift it its sooo blinking heavy and we think hes gone away for the weekend .. i MEAN HOW SELFISH can you get but the floor is finished (bar putting back part of the skirting boards.

Enough babble from me (i've had a beer and am rather talkative)

Need to sort out kitchen

bbl

TheMadHouse · 12/10/2008 15:59

Afternoon

Sag I am glad that the wood and floor is all sorted I have a pyroboys too

grouchyoscar · 12/10/2008 17:11

Done pretty much everything I need to do at the weekend done

Just about to start the ironing now. Then it's the bedtime routine and all is done

I feel like I have acheived!

TheMadHouse · 12/10/2008 19:05

Boys are nearly in bed and I am shattered, braved two hours at the outlaws and then back home to feed the boys.

I have popped the mincemeat in the ovan to melt the suet and then will let it cool before adding the brandy. My house smells of christmas.

I need to add the ingedients for the puddings and cakes to this weeks shop.

lucysmam · 12/10/2008 19:09

I'm back!

Found nothing to do all afternoon . . . but did end up doing lunch myself & took the lo to shops for a wander

grouchy I very much envy you being under orders to stay in bed!

my wm is fine today . . . no idea what was up with it yesterday

lo went to bed very easily after bath time for once. No paddying about getting out of the tub/into pj's!

Anyways, off to see what else is happening on MN. Catch you all later xx

scattyspice · 12/10/2008 19:21

Hi all.

I keep trying to post, then someone wants something!

BWB Sorry you're having such a hard time with ds. Remeber they ALWAYS hurt the ones they love the most. We had terrible twos with ds, 'Toddler Taming' by Christopher Green was my bible.

lucy sounds like you're oh is treating you properly at last .

saga at the bonfire, my dad used to do massive bonfires at this time of year (in the backgarden of a 30's semi!!). Shame we can't have them as I love the smell.

Done:
beach
woolies (fancy dress costumes)
ds haircut
ironing
car fixed (by dh in the end)
zero flying .

bb tomorrow.
