washing machine & washing up liquid

Is it ok to use some washing up liquid in the washing machine as I've run out of washing machine liquid?

out to dry for a bit! the reason why I had to do my washing for today was moved to this afternoon - I had noted down an appointment as 9am but when got there was for 1pm!!!! so now I have got some washing liquid but am impressed with the washing liquid.

Hi I have been using washing up liquid from Asda for several weeks now. I use the 35 degree quick wash with 20% only of liquid in the cup and it works fine. Won't be wasting money on dishwasher tablets! Saves on water, heat and tablets. I think maybe the key is to be sparing with the washing up liquid
