What stain removers does everyone use when needed for general children stains?

Anyone - I just want to know what works without paying a fortune to find suitable. is in wash or pre wash better

For just whites I spray thin bleach (DS wears school polo shirts).

For colours I use Oxi Ultra Plus spray (sprayed inside and outside of stain), DD got ink all over some pjs, sprayed this stuff on and washed at 90 and it got rid of every trace of ink.

Every wash, I put soda crystals in the drum on top of the lol.
