TMH It's amazing how soon they fit into them! Ed's winter coat is 7-8 according to the label fits him fine. Glad you like the coat and glad it's going to be of good use.

Been looking at the Gok Wan and Dita Von Teese undies some very nice stuff. Sent links/hints to DH (but he'll look a bugger in em)

Off in 30 TTFN

tortoise · 08/10/2008 14:15

Why are none of the home from home pet care people i am trying to ring in? Very annoying!

Nearly time for school pick up.
DS2 has football practice tonight. Lift arranged thanks to another childs Mum. Saves me walking all the way there and back!

Wow! EHM How the devil are you? I've missed you loads. How're you keeping and how's Ellie and OH? Good to see you about again

TheMadHouse · 08/10/2008 16:35

Afternoon

I have seen the consultant at the hospital this afternoon and am feeling a lot more confident regarding the surgery and also what plans etc.

I will be having the double mstectomy and immediate reconstruction in February next year and rather than having a transflap tummy reconstruction, will be having impants.

It is a shorter operation and also have a much sorter recovery time and that was what was concerning me.

This way I will have impants put in that can be made bigger or smaller and then permanent impants done in August.

I can always have the other type of operation later.

I do not want to miss out of the boys life for three months at this stage in their development - this way it is only likley to be a couple of weeks. Also I will only be in surgery for 4/5 hours rather than over 12

So I have seen what I will look like and am likley to be a size c

EustaciaVye · 08/10/2008 17:12

Good Mad. You need to make whatever decision is best for you as it is a big thing to go through.

Have had lovely afternoon. Some of the mums at school went to the park and we joined them. Nice to get to know some new faces.

Ruby C is fine by me too. We bought DS1 a £10 digital camera from Tesco in the Sale to stop exactly what is happening with you - it is fine and took some knocks but works great and it much better picture quality and bloody cheeper than thoughs Kids ones.

EV Glad you had a nice time at the park.

Daddy is looking after the boys - I am going to have a bath once they are in bed.

DS2 has been sick again so I am popping another wash on and finnishing drying the pillows in the TD - They have been on the line all day, but are a little damp.

Serene - not something I am used to being called, but actually I am just happy to be at the minute.

I am dealing with the sick, dealing with the cancer things etc. I need to find my libedo again though - Mr Menopause seems to have taken it on his little trip

tortoise · 08/10/2008 19:15

TMH Sounds like the best option for now. Sorry DS2 is still sick.
RR My DD1 has a vtech camera to stop her playing with mine! Argos sale last year.

Got hold of someone to have Mickey while we are away. They are doing a home visit to talk about what he likes etc and then hopefully book him in then. It is £17 a day. £30 one of registration fee and £30 transportation because they pick up and return him. Over £100 for the dogs holiday!

lucysmam · 08/10/2008 19:28

RR Can i give you a ((( hug ))). You do seem to be struggling with them at the moment. I don't really know what to advise. I struggle with mine most days. Although they have been better since being ill!

Jas · 08/10/2008 22:39

Oh, Ruby
How long is dh away for?

Would it help to know you are not alone? I reduced dd2 to tears today She has changed since moving up to Juniors this year, and I hate the attitude.

You are not doing any long term damage (assuming you aren't beating them regularly with a big stick and not mentioning it!) They will grow up to be a credit to you and all this will be a hazy memory.

Jas · 08/10/2008 22:42

Ooops . Also want to send a firm pat on the back (can't bring myself to hug!) to Grouchy(hope you get some sleep) and tigger (hoping you and dp can make up), and lucysmam ((whatever the bad news is, I hope you and yours are ok tonight.
