We need new doors and I really dont know what style to go for, what would be in keeping with the house? We plan to put a wooden floor down so should we go for stained doors as apposed to gloss white??

go on ebay and search the interior wooden doors, for a 1930's house look at the original doors where it's three vertical panels on the lower 2/3's of the door and a square panel on the top 1/3: we had them in our old house, painted matt white or stripped and waxed and they look gorgeous! v cheap too!

Pictures here. We have doors like the ones on the top-right. They're the original 30s ones. The previous owners had them 'dipped' to remove decades of paint and then stained, but we've returned them to white.

we have them, but not gloss white, just a matt white. Have wooden floors.

Looking at the pictures on the link above we currently have the 1930's one panel doors. maybe we should try and get some extra doors like these rather than replace the lot.
