I love it! Its just so glidey and quick and that gorgeous psssst sound it makes is just adorable.

Should I hang my head in shame? We are not meant to love irons are we? It feels so wrong but so right at the same time.

You are not alone....

I never thought that anything could ever make ironing a pleasant task......

akhems · 05/10/2008 17:05

fab aren't they? I've just got one too and after using a steam press for a few years it's hugely different but satisfying

makeminealargeoneplease · 05/10/2008 17:18

Oh its so good not to be alone...I feel free now I've come out of the closet, "Hi, I'm Makemine and I love my iron and I actually enjoy ironing "

Akhems, how did you get on with the steam press? Do you prefer your SG Iron now?

I NEVER ironed before, just DH's workshirts. Now everything gets ironed. Its so nice for me and my family to have creasefree clothes and they stack so nicely when I put them away in the drawers.

I love the steam press too but it's not very good for fiddly bits or gathers etc. great for most things tho. It's fab in winter cos its so warm and I even iron teh bedding then, lol

What one have you got? I would love one, can't afford one right now but would love to know which one has made you so happy!![smile}

MinkyBorage · 06/10/2008 13:12

I've got one and it's really good, well it was, until dd2 put soil in to the water section . Think might need to give it a pro clean before next use.

babyOcho · 06/10/2008 13:25

we need to get a new iron. which one do you have?

RustyBear · 06/10/2008 15:23

I have thisone, which I got at Tesco for (I think) £97.99.
There is an advanced model which tells you when you're running out of water - with this one you can just see the water level through the transparent tank.

i have this one no idea why its so cheap on this site, as its retailing in Argos at £165 so this is a bargain, and with free delivery!

Its just so fab. I got mine in France so its called Calor which is Tefal in France and Germany. I got it from the supermarket there (our gite where we stayed on holiday had the exact same model and I just had to have one!) and it was 199 Euros but they made a mistake in the pricing and labelled it at 89 Euros so they gave it to me at the lower price i was very
