Where and in what do you store timetables/small brochures/leaflets etc?

Meaning things which you like to look at regularly? I always have a pile of clutter on the hall table containing local arts cinema brochure, timetable for recycling collection, various fliers/discount coupons etc etc.
Is a small letter rack the best way? Is a stylish one of these a possibility?? Do stylish versions even exist?

Pin board in the utility room

I'd love an answer to this one too been looking for something pleasing to the eye but not found anything to fit the pile of clutter on the table either even with noticeboard above and I need to immediately to hand otherwise I forget or it takes too long to sort.

We dont have a utility room sadly so we couldnt do that, also the brochures/booklets are a bit too chunky to hang up I think...

I have an accordion file for things I need to refer to like this, and info from school and council, phone lists, etc. I keep it in the kitchen. Have tab headings like, school, church, council, take-away menus, etc. Nice feeling to have somewhere to put things like this that always used to accumulate in piles.

we have a junk drawer in the kitchen and a wee stash behind the kitchn radio.

not great.

one of those corner shelves on the end of the kitchen cupboards

ShrinkingViolet · 29/09/2008 16:08

plastic wallets in ring binders/lever arch files - we have one for the DDs stuff, one for DH and my stuff , one for house stuff and one for menus/meal planning.
Actually, that makes me quite sad really, doesn't it?

Folder with plastic sleeves in it ... and stash on shelf in hall cupboard .... with small pile sitting next to said folder waiting to be put away again after I've used it ...

pagwatch · 29/09/2008 16:26

always and without fail in the very last place I would think to look.

MaryAnnSingleton · 29/09/2008 16:28

those plastic pocketty things from IKEA (at least they used to have them) that you pin up - about 4 or 5 big deep ockets - you can get tons of stuff in them - ours hangs on the door of understairs cupboard

Pannacotta · 29/09/2008 19:21

lol pagwatch I am the same which is why I need a system, LadyPenelope you are way more organised than I will ever be!

The is because the small pile is perhaps not so small ... and not sure how I can claim it is a system if it is an almost empty folder and a pile of stuff....
