Pics on my profile. Our family room windows are very, wide. I think curtains would look odd but they are drafty windows and the room needs cosying up.

The perfect solution would be plantation shutters but we can't afford.

I have made one set of tab top curtains for the french doors in the same room. (2nd pic)was thinking same for long window but they wpuld be very bunched up at the ends when open

Maybe four roman blinds would look better?

There is also another sash window on the other side of room but curtains look ok there.

What would you do?

Beautiful pics Megahlegs. The house looks gorgeous too.

Personally I would have a roman blind in the same fabric as the curtains.

I would love to be able to make curtains - but I wasn't blessed in the sewing dept.

Why thank you fimbo - I have cleverly framed the shots so that you can't see all the crap (Also realised that DS4 sitting on the sofa looks like he is doing embroidery - he's about to lob his plate in fact)

Do you think four roman blinds same width as each casement?

And I clearly wasn't given the spelling gene either - sorry Mehgalegs.

Yes to 4 roman blinds. Your boys are beautiful.

I think you are right (about the blinds and the beautiful boys )

I agree with 4 roman blinds they will set off your window beautifully in that room.

Hope this helps your decision
