Is it worth trying to get the fridge freezer fixed?

Our fridge is dripping all over the place so condenser seems to be up the spout and the freezer section is trying to ice up the entire kitchen since door seal seems to have gone at the same time. Can't use the freezer without an ice hammer. Do you think if the seal were fixed it would sort the fridge problem? Someone in Sainsbury's told me hers cost £300 to fix - might as well get a new one for that. I'm not convinced anything is being kept at a safe temperature and it mucking up my attempt at being organised with freezing mushy stuff for little one.
