Is it better to store fruit and veg, in the fridge, out of packets or still in them?

Do they last longer if you take them all out of the packs and put them loose in the veg tray?

I think it dpends - mushrooms I take out otherwise they 'sweat', beans, carrotts etc, I would leave in.

What's yer veg?

Gobbledigook · 15/09/2008 11:53

Carrots, leeks, red cabbage, potatoes

Have left carrots in bag but thinking I should take them out.

carrots, leeks and spuds all fine in bag. Always remove leafy veg.

I got some of those green 'keep fresh' bags from lakeland ( and now in woolies!) which really are fab and keep veg fresh for ages!
