help me clean my (please!)

i am going to tackle my carpets upstairs on friday as my DS is being looked after for the day.

I was going to buy some of that vanish foam stuff but wondered if anyone hd any better tips.

they aren't too stained just could do with freshening up a bit.

The vanish foam smells utterly foul.

Do you know anyone with a wet vac you could borrow? that will always work better.

Or you can hire one for about 30 quid from HSS I think.
