Cleaner - insurance??

Hi I am hoping to get a cleaner for the first time. Not sure if through an agency or private yet and I was wondering if agencies have any particular benefits?

Do I need to worry about insurance....e.g. if a cleaner trips on my kitchen floor? Also does anyone know if there are any tax / employment law implications if I hire a cleaner for say 3 hrs a week??

If through an agency, they'll have insurance. Have only ever done it through an agency so can't help if you're doing it privately.
